Terms of Service

Last Updated: 2026-04-19

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your access to and use of BrokerBase, a communication and workflow platform built for Canadian insurance agents, brokerages, and support teams. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Service Scope

BrokerBase helps teams manage contacts, automate follow-up, send broadcasts, record consent, and review communication activity.

  • Contact and policy-adjacent CRM workflows
  • Email sequences, broadcasts, and analytics
  • SMS outreach where enabled
  • Audit, consent, and unsubscribe tooling

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate account information and protect your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for the lawfulness of the contact data you upload or collect.
  • You must use BrokerBase in compliance with CASL, PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, insurance regulations, and any other laws that apply to your business.
  • You must honor unsubscribe requests and avoid misleading sender identities, subject lines, and consent records.

4. Messaging And Consent

You may send messages only where you have a lawful basis to do so. For marketing and promotional outreach, that generally means valid consent and a functioning unsubscribe process. Where BrokerBase requires a mailing address, sender identity, or consent record, you may not bypass those controls.

5. Data Handling

We process personal information to provide the service, secure accounts, troubleshoot incidents, and keep a defensible audit trail. Retention periods and privacy rights are described in the Privacy Policy.

BrokerBase is hosted on Railway infrastructure in the United States. Personal information may therefore be processed or stored outside Canada and may be accessible to U.S. courts, law enforcement, and regulators under applicable U.S. law.

6. Availability And Changes

We may change, improve, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves. We may also suspend access to protect the platform, investigate abuse, or respond to security and compliance issues.

7. Limitation Of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, BrokerBase is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian law.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta.
